1. I was born in Pakistan and I moved to America at a very young age. Currently I am 13. I first heard about ShiaSisters.net in Mujtaba Magazine. I was very impressed with the website, so I joined. I'm glad that so many young sisters are showing their Shia pride and telling the world about Islam.
2. To me, the biggest challenge faced by young Shia Sisters is having to listen to negative, stereotypical comments while still learning about Islam. It's very hard to choose a religion and hear lies about it, because listening to all those lies could change your opinion about all the rules Allah (swt) has made for us and it makes us think it's a hardship instead of a way of life.
3. My advice is don't let all those lies change you, but don't ignore them. If there are Shias with you who will support you, speak the truth. Just make sure it 100% true and it doesn't insult any other group.
4. In the upcoming year, I would like ShiaSisters.net to expand their multimedia. Add speakers like Hasnain Rajabali and Salim Yusefali, who can relate to the youth so they understand Islam at the time of not only the Prophets and Imams, but also at the time of people like Imam Khomeini and others. |
